Tilly the Dinosaur.

I have added two new comments to this post today (26/02/2013)

This post was made in reply to one made on one of their blogs which made the allegations below against Heather.  This post has now been removed, though a screenshot sequence has been retained.  They also showed pictures of Dino from The Flintstones and made a comparison.

So there is no confusion, and to put false allegations firmly where they belong, here are the facts on Heather's gorgeous Tilly.

Heather knows my son loves dinosaurs.  He lives, breathes and dreams them and, although he's only 6 he could hold a very in depth conversation with a museum curator on the subject and could probably teach them something!

I'd recently joined Heather's DT (end of November 2012) and Heather was working on new digis.  As I'd mentioned that my son would kill for some dinosaur digis, she very kindly did some.  The first being Tilly, the brachiosaurus, the second being a triceratops being ridden by Pickles.

Here's Tilly:

She was posted on our Facebook group on December 20 2012.

Here's the card I made using the digi image:

It was posted on my blog on the 7th December 2012, as can be seen if you follow this link here:
Dinosaur Fun Card

As you will see in the picture below, Heather took her coloured image (alongside others) to a show in December 2012.  Pic's a bit blurred but you can clearly see it there among the others...oh, and there's a Christmas tree.

Now this "other  artist" just a few days  ago, the 13th February to be exact, released a  copy of .... Heather's Tilly the Dinosaur.  It can be viewed on  the other  artist's  social media pages  under  the date of 13 February 2013.  You can also find it by Googling... its public knowledge.

And yesterday, Heather released this digi after having previewed it in the group on 20 Feb. This picture is taken from the preview given to our group.

2 hours ago, a very similar digi was released by  the other artist.   You can find it on the other  artists  social media  page on 24 February.  You can also find it by Googling, it's public  knowledge. are all the correct dates for both parties so the facts are there for all to see.

Take care everyone.

PS.  Names and links have been removed by Google as someone has something to hide and doesn't want you to see them!

Thank You. Regret.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for the overwhelming support and friendship you have offered.
I am ashamed that I was ever part of the Scrapbook Stamp Society and their many affiliates.  I was sucked in as much as other people are and I had to do things I wasn't comfortable with due to the pressure from the above mentioned. I deeply regret ever having been part of their set up.
I know I have been tainted by the past association with them but I hope that most people will realize that everyone does things they're not proud of sometimes and being associated with SSS and it's owner is my big regret.

Clown Eleanor - by Lexie

Hi everyone!

Hope you're all ok?  All busy at this end but have a card to blog today.  It's another Heather Valentin digi featuring Eleanor as a clown and it's so cute.  This digi, as well as all her others, are ONLY officially available from Heather's Lacy Sunshine store and anyone else selling them are doing so illegally and really should be ashamed of themselves as it's theft.

So, today I've used my elements slightly differently and used a square easel but put the layers at jaunty angles for interest.

The pink card was from my stash and the pink backing paper is from Bearly Mine.

The gorgeous edging around all the pink card layers was cut using my lovely Ebosser and my Cheery Lynn Reflections Boutique Mega Square Mini Pearl die...try saying that when you've had a few!

The other dies I have used (flowers) were the Cheery Lynn large and medium Rose dies and a Marianne leaf die.

I have also used some blue faux gems and pink metallic brads.

The sentiment was created on my lappie.

I have coloured Heather's fab digi in using my Promarkers with a little help of some skin coloured Copics:

Skin:  E00, E11, E21

Hair: Walnut, Cocoa and Caramel.

Eyes:  Marine, Turqouise and Cool Aqua.

Nose:  Crimson, Berry and Lipstick  Red.

Lips and Pink Areas:  Antique Pink, Baby Pink and Blender.

Blue Areas:  Cornflower, Blue Pearl and China Blue.

I have left an area to the left free so that I can add a number (age) when I need to use the card.

Anyone who has ever met Linda Simpson will be reminded of her when they see this card.  I think it's the red nose that does it!  Lol.

Take care everyone and happy crafting!

Challenge #2 - Favourite Colour Combos

Hi everyone!

Hope you're all well and set for the next challenge at Lacy Sunshine?  The Creative Team have done an incredible job with their cards and both Heather and myself are so proud of the girls and really pleased that they're loving working with Heather's digis.

The winner for the first challenge was Tracey who will receive $30 to spend at the Lacy Sunshine store as well as the Winner blinkie

The Top Three were (in no particular order) Lucy, Su and Andree.  These three AND future Top Three winners will receive 2 digis of their choice from Heather's collection, not including pre coloured or retiring.  This is a new thing we only decided on yesterday.  Everyone puts in so much effort we thought it would be nice to add extra prizes for the Top Three.

We also decided that the $30 winner's prize will remain!  Yay.

Challenge #1 was so successful, especially for a first one, and we're really looking forward to seeing what everyone comes up with for the new challenge.  The theme is another popular one...Favourite Colour Combos and we'd love you to join us.  The rules are over on the challenge blog itself (normal rules but please check them) and you can find the blog if you click on our new blinkie at the top of the sidebar.  Please feel free to take that blinkie for your own blogs and link it to the challenge to spread the word.

Can't wait to see all your entries!

And I just want to thank the Sunshine Girls for their fabulous work this week, and thank you also to Tanya for being GDT for this challenge.

If you would like to be GDT for our challenges, please put GDT or GCT (Guest Creative Team) after your name on linky.

Thanks everyone.

Take care and happy crafting!

Pink Blossom - By Mandy

This is Sky Lynn, one of Heather Valentin's new digis and isn't she beautiful! You can find her over at the Lacy Sunshine Shop. When I saw this digi I knew that I wanted to use the Spellbinders Cherry Blossom die set with it, and also some Japanese papers that I am lucky enough to have in my stash. Then I remembered that I had some wood "paper" somewhere in amongst all the paper I have! Its actually very thin slivers of wood, so I stuck some onto a piece of card to be able to die cut the branches from it and added lots of blossom to finish the card.

Lacy Sunshine - Sky Lynn digi
Copics - E000, E00, E02, C10, BG000, BG01, BG05, R81, R83, R85, YR20, YR23

Craftwork Cards - white 8" x 8" card blank, white card
Pink patterned paper and wood paper - from stash

Thanks for popping by, I hope you like her!

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Zombie Car Hop by Crafting Vicky

Hope everyone is well!  This is my 1st DT post over at Lacy Sunshine ;)))  Soooo very excited!

I was good this Tuesday night... I made some DT cards 1st (actually managed to make 2) and I still had time for another and this time it was just for fun and for me!!! I had been planning to participate in a few challenges and this was the opportunity. To top it of I had just received my order for some more wonderful retiring digis from Lacy Sunshine!!!!! All at 1$$$ so yes... I splurged... but it was really good for my moral.

Here's the card that I made using the fabulous Zolly zombie car hop

For this card I used paper from Authentique Glowing (one of my favorite pack from past Halloween) and I used the sheet music because the sentiment is the last words of Mozart... So I thought it was fitting to put sheet music ;) I used my classic rectangles small and large to cut the digi and paper underneath. I added some Robin's nest dew drops.

Here's a closer look at the digi colored with my copics (and this is my very 1st time doing hair in blue!!!!)

And here's my sentiment

I'm also offering you the word art if you would like ;) I know... it's a bit dark... but for those of you like me that sometimes need to get this out of your system... it's very therapeutic!!! So come over to my blog to get it ;) Crafting vicky.
Hope you have liked my little creation!  I'm super excited to be part of this fabulous team!  So you should be seeing more of me ;))
